What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: I love that CHS is a close community and that our staff and I get to know each camper, and are able to witness the many positive impacts that summer camp has on the growth of children. I also love that at Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp campers can take risks and try new activities with friends and with engaging and enthusiastic role models. Many of whom were campers themselves.

Interesting fact: I am a golf enthusiast and I try to collect logo golf balls from every new course I play. I currently have over 60 logo balls.

Angie Zomer, Assistant Camp Director

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: 25

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: Everything! I have to say the Drama program is my first love... it is where I started working at camp. You can’t get an experience like our drama program everywhere. I love the fun, the singing, the dancing, the family you build as a cast, and the intensity as you work together to make something so magical in less than a month. It is amazing!

Interesting fact: I have two children who have grown up at summer at CHS and they love camp as much, if not more than I do!

Christine Lucey, Camp Registrar

Education: Bachelor of Science, Framingham State College

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: 28

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: I work at CHS year round and I love the transformation from school to camp! The level of energy, creativity and passion fill each and every room making it a wonderful place to be! It's fun to see new families and our long time campers enter the doors at the beginning of each summer.

Interesting fact: I have taken trips on many planes, but decided to jump out of one a few years ago. Don't worry -- I was wearing a parachute! It was an amazing experience!

Irene Limlengco, Lower Camp Director

Education: Emmanuel College, B.A in Psychology, minor in Sociology

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: 15

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: I love the community and that CHS is a second home to many; it’s an amazing thing to be able to share that I’ve been at camp for the last fifteen summers. Not only has CHS been part of many of my own life milestones, but we have the privilege of watching the campers grow up and move up through each division- all the way to being counselors themselves.

Interesting fact: I ran track and high jumped in college and upon graduation was asked to stay on as a coach. I coached for 5 years as their sprint, vertical jumps and women’s weight lifting coach. I’m also a huge Boston sports fan… especially the Celtics! Go C’s!

Virginia Siu, Intermediate Camp Director

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: 4

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: Everyone is having fun - from the counselors to the children. My children can't wait for Summer at CHS.  Sofia, age 11, and Amelie, age 9, have loved drama, pillow making, friendship bracelets, wheelworking, soccer, swimming, and more.

Interesting fact: My husband's family is from Colombia, so we got married in Bogotá.  Our wedding was a celebration of his Colombian and my Chinese culture. We had friends and family come from the United States, France, Switzerland, and Spain.

Kate Hudson, Intermediate Camp Director

Education: Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) from Simmons College Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Wheelock College, Professional Concentration in Child Life (Human Development major)

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: Camper for 3, this will be year 23 as staff.

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: I love reconnecting with my camp family each summer!  I work with an amazing group of people who genuinely love camp and care about giving children a meaningful and fun summer experience.  I love seeing families return each year and building lasting relationships with campers as they grow with our program.

Interesting fact: I started at CHS as a camper, and I now work with counselors who were once my campers!

Dylan Gallegos, Upper Camp Director

Education: BA, Wheaton College

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: 30

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: Seeing kids try new things, make new friends, and especially seeing counselors who used to be campers work at camp.

Interesting fact: I love fishing, especially fly fishing.

Mike Paige, Senior Camp Director

Education: B.S. Penn State

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: 11

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: I love the feeling of family at CHS — I’ve built some really great relationships over the years. Nothing makes me happier than having our former Senior Campers coming back to visit and telling the current Senior Campers how much fun they had and which trips were their favorites.  I am extremely proud of the fact that the Senior Camp homeroom has become their happy place at CHS!

Interesting fact: I make custom wooden ornaments and dog portraits when I’m not at camp.

Sam Mitchell, CIT Director

Education: BA Wheelock College

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: 2

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: CHS is a fantastic place for young creative minds to flourish. I am always astounded by what our art and theater programs can pull off, but by far my favorite aspect of camp is the Rock Band class. Seeing ten or so 7- to 9-year-olds jamming out to 80's hair metal brings a certain joy to my heart.

Interesting fact: I am a passionate Star Wars fan. I've seen all of the movies and spin-off shows, and I've read at least 25 novels.

Edward Tubridy, Swim Director

Education: Bachelors of Science in Adapted Physical Activity and Education at the Institute of Technology Tralee, Ireland, Masters in Curriculum design and leadership, Fitchburg State University.

Years at The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp: 10

What I love best about Summer at Chestnut Hill: What I love about CHS is the family orientated culture of the summer program. I enjoy how invested and happy every counselor and camper are everyday and one of my favorite moments being an aquatic director is when a camper passes the deep end test for the first time and is so proud of themselves.

Interesting fact: I am the Head Coach of the Northeastern University Men's Rugby Team
