Exploration of the world abounds in Early Childhood

The Early Childhood program encourages students to grow as empathetic, self-regulated learners. Students in Early Childhood learn more about the world and themselves as they study nature, abilities and adaptations, heritage, and more.

Beginners investigate snails

In STEAM, art and science weave together as the youngest learners at The Chestnut Hill School explore the natural world around them. Beginners investigate everything they can about snails.

Pre-Kindergarten experiences the world

Pre-Kindergarten students are introduced to the ways in which we all navigate our world through a unit on ability. By learning about prosthetics, Braille, sign language and wheelchairs, students are able to investigate and imagine the experiences of those who are different from them.

Kindergarteners become mathematicians

Kindergarten mathematicians become counting experts as they explore the hundreds chart and investigate patterns leading to their 100th Day celebration. This celebration includes their sixth grade Learning Partners and families as they celebrate all they have learned.

The CHS program helps students make cross-curricular connections and become intellectually skilled and self-empowered learners.
