About Our Board
The Chestnut Hill School’s Board of Trustees helps ensure that the school is healthy, vibrant, and well-positioned to serve future generations by providing oversight of its financial, physical, and human resources. The Board also plays a key role in establishing the school’s mission, vision, strategic goals, and policies. Our board is composed primarily of current and past parents with expertise in finance, business, development, education, real estate, medicine, law and many other fields.

Fawn Balliro Andersen
Family Association Chair
Fawn Balliro Andersen (Family Association Chair) is a current CHS parent. As a CHS parent, Fawn has volunteered within a variety of programs, including serving as a co-chair for the Carnival and Admissions Volunteer Program as well as serving a Class Representative. Fawn is a member of the Parent Advisory Council at St. Mary St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Charlestown. Currently, Fawn is the campaign advisor to the Mayor of Revere responsible for coordinating fundraising as well as advising on campaign strategy. Prior to dedicating her time to volunteer and political campaign activities, Fawn spent her career in public service working for over 12 years as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County. Fawn received her BA from Allegheny College and her JD from Hofstra University School of Law.

Naisha Bradley

Naisha Bradley
Naisha Bradley is a current CHS parent (Classes of '22 and '25). Naisha is a diversity and inclusion strategist who serves as the Assistant Dean of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. Naisha is an active community member - her portfolio spans from working on Boston’s ONEin3 Mayoral Advisory Council to contributing to the White House Council for Women and Girls as a participant in the United State of Young Women Forum during the Obama Administration. Naisha graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a bachelorette degree in Business Administration and earned a master's degree in Gender and Cultural Studies from Simmons College. In May of 2018, she attained a second master's degree in Public Administration and a certificate in Management, Leadership, and Decision Sciences from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

Victoria Cain
Victoria Cain is a current CHS parent. Victoria is an associate professor of US history at Northeastern University, where she focuses on the history of education, media, and technology. Victoria previously taught at New York University and the University of Southern California, as well as the Horace Mann School in New York City. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and earned a Ph.D. with distinction from Columbia University.

Kirsten Champlin (Secretary) is a current CHS parent. She previously worked at PGR Media and Hill Holliday where she focused on the advertising & media strategy, buying and measurement for clients such as New Balance, Celebrity Cruises, and Dunkin' Donuts. She has her bachelor's degree from American University, and her MBA from Suffolk University. As a current parent, Kirsten has been a class representative, a co-chair of the Admissions Committee, and a volunteer for various other Family Association events. She is also involved in several charities including Light the Night Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Gift of Life Marrow Registry.

Emil Dabora

Emil Dabora
Emil and his wife, Emilie, have two boys. The family has been a part of the CHS community since 2011. Emil currently works at Tudor Investment Corp where he manages assets with a focus on Event Driven Investing. He received a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1991, and then went to Harvard, where he earned an MA in 1994 and a PhD in 1996, both in Economics. Emil has previously served on the Beacon Hill Nursery School Board as well as the Board of the 77 Park Avenue Condominium Association.

Jeff Dodge

Jeff Dodge
Jeff Dodge is a parent to one current and two former CHS students, having joined the CHS community in 2013. Jeff is a founding member and Partner of Periphas Capital, a middle market focused private equity firm. He previously worked at Berkshire Partners in Boston and Goldman Sachs in New York. Jeff earned an MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth and a BA in Economics from Yale University. He is active in the Newton and surrounding community as a leader in the Boy Scouts and Little League coach. Jeff serves on the Board of Stewards at the Wellesley Hills Church. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Mesa de Vida, a creator of globally inspired clean label cooking and seasoning sauces.

Michael Douvadjian

Michael Douvadjian
Michael Douvadjian is a CHS grandparent. He is a Senior Vice President at UBS Financial Services. He has worked in finance for 30 years and has a CFP. He also has professional experience as a US Air Force Captain. He is the Co-Founder of Edvestors, Chair the Investment Committee of the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, and serves on the Investment Committees of Squashbusters and Boston Arts Academy. He currently serves on the Board of UMass Amherst Foundation, Inversant (formerly FUEL Education), Homebase, and the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund. Michael received a BS from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from the University of Maine.

Thomas Fox

Thomas Fox
Thomas Fox is a current CHS parent (Class of '25). Tom spent 20 years as an investment advisor with BLX Group LLC, first in Los Angeles, then established an office in San Francisco, and then stayed with the firm in Boston. As a senior member of the BLX Management Team, Tom was responsible for the firm’s nationwide marketing and business development efforts. Tom graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. from Harvard College in Linguistics and Cognitive Sciences. Tom has always had a strong interest in teaching, first as a tutor to younger students while at Belmont Hill School, and then spent a gap year before college teaching first and second grade at the American International School in Vienna. He also played basketball for the high school there, and lead the team for the first time to the championship game of the AIS tournament in Paris. (His impact on the Harvard JV team the following year was more muted.)

Jane Glazer

Jane Glazer
Jane Glazer is a former CHS parent (Classes of '21 and '23). She is a Pediatric and Family Nurse Practitioner, and also holds a masters degree in clinical bioethics. Jane has worked in adolescent health, emergency medicine, travel medicine, elementary and middle school health, college health, and she currently works as a camp NP. Jane has also served on the board of Peer Health Exchange, which is a peer-health education program using college students to teach wellness education within inner city public high schools. When not at work or at CHS planning for Carnival, Spring Fling, or other FA events, she can be found exploring the outdoors with her family or cooking!

Jennifer Hines

Jennifer Hines
Jennifer Hines serves as Dean of Enrollment Management at the Noble and Greenough School. Jennifer graduated from Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA. Jennifer has worked for over twenty years at Nobles and oversees admission and financial assistance. She is a member of the Nobles senior administrative team and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion leadership team. Jennifer also serves as a member of the Enrollment Management Association’s National Admission Leadership Council, which seeks to provide leadership in the area of professional development for admission professionals. Prior to Nobles, Jennifer began her career with a brief stint in commercial bank lending and subsequently worked at Wellesley College as the Associate Director of Admission in charge of the Alumnae Admission Program. She previously served on the Board of Trustees of the Fessenden School.

Melanie Hoffmeister (Co-President) is a current CHS parent. Melanie has most recently worked at CVS, Staples and Bain & Company in a variety of roles focused on strategy, business development, marketing and e-commerce. Melanie received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) at the Université de Montreal and also earned her MBA from Harvard Business School. As a CHS parent, she has been a volunteer within a variety of CHS programs, including the Carnival, the Book Fair and the Friends of the Library, as well as various roles within the Family Association. Melanie serves on a number of philanthropic boards and committees in Boston and supports several charitable organizations, including City Year.

Christopher Johnson

Christopher Johnson
Christopher Johnson is a current CHS parent. Chris is the President of Cranebridge Investment Partners. Chris began his career as an attorney and then joined Lehman Brothers Investment Bank in New York. Following the acquisition of Lehman Brothers by Barclays Bank, Chris stayed on to lead its Wealth Advisory and Strategic Solutions Divisions. Chris was born in Trinidad and raised in Canada. He received an LLB from York University in Toronto, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Oxford University in England and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Harvard Law School.

Stefan Karlsson is a parent to three current CHS students and has been part of the CHS community since 2012. Stefan is the Director of Research and Partner at Aureus Asset Management in Boston. Prior to joining Aureus, Stefan was an equity analyst at UBS Securities. Stefan earned his undergraduate degree in Business Economics from Brown University and his MBA with Distinction from NYU's Stern School of Business. Stefan is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society Boston. Stefan is currently serving as the Assistant Treasurer at the Church of the Redeemer, where he is also an active member of the choir.

Steve is currently a CHS parent and serves as a Co-President on the school’s board. Steve a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners where he leads up their healthcare practice. He currently sits on the boards of a number of leading healthcare and biotechnology companies. Prior to joining Bessemer, Steve worked for a growth-stage, private equity firm as a management consultant at Bain & Company. He has also worked on several different political campaigns throughout his career. Outside of work, Steve serves as an Observer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, an advisor to Boston Children’s Hospital and the Harvard Business School’s Center for Entrepreneurship, and on the investment committees of BCBS Massachusetts and Rock Health. Steve graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and earned his MBA from Harvard, where he was a Baker Scholar.

Jill (Vice President) lives in Brookline with husband, Shawn, and their three children. Jill is CEO of JRK Advisors, a boutique consulting firm, which brings business owners and their senior executives data-driven, practical, strategic and operational assistance. Raised in Canada, Jill holds a BS (Honors) in Biology from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Jill completed a 9-year term as Director on the Foundation Board of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

Neil Maniar

Neil Maniar
Dr. Neil Maniar is a current CHS parent. Neil received his PhD from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and his Master of Public Health from the Yale University School of Public Health. He has a BA from Connecticut College with a double major in English and Zoology. Neil is a Professor of Public Health Practice, Associate Chair of the Department of Health Sciences, and Director of the Master of Public Health program in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University and was recently elected President of the Massachusetts Public Health Association. Prior to joining Northeastern, Neil worked at the American Cancer Society’s New England Division as well as the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Center for Community Health and Health Equity. Neil was also the founding director of the Massachusetts Youth Violence Prevention Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. He also founded and co-chaired the Massachusetts Coalition for Youth Violence Prevention. Neil currently serves on the board of directors of UTEC, Inc and was part of the Eastern New England Board of the American Cancer Society from 2017-2020.

Paul Mashikian

Paul Mashikian
Paul Mashikian is a current CHS parent (classes of ’22 and ’24). Paul earned an SB in electrical science and engineering, an SB in management science, and an MEng in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT. Paul is the founder and managing partner of Lime Street Ventures, an early stage venture firm focusing on tech, clean energy and life sciences companies. Paul previously was a partner at Bracebridge Capital, a Boston-based hedge fund, for 16 years. Paul has served on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the MIT School of Engineering for the last 6 years. Paul previously served as president of the board for the John Winthrop School in Boston.

Shradha Patel

Shradha Patel
Shradha Patel is a current CHS parent (class of ‘25). She graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree and Tufts University with a master’s degree. She brings almost 20 years of education experience as a teacher, college placement counselor, and former Principal and Founder. She launched her teaching career in both Boston and Cambridge public schools, and since 2003 has joined the Roxbury Prep Charter and Uncommon Schools family. At Roxbury Prep/Uncommon she has taught History, supported high school and college placement, led 2 middle schools, one in Brooklyn, NY, and founded Roxbury Prep High School (RPHS) in 2015. She currently serves at RPHS as an English Teacher and Instructional Leader.

T. J. (Vice President) and his wife, Jody, have two children at CHS. T.J. is a Principal at ABRY Partners, a private equity firm, where he focuses on healthcare investments. Prior to joining ABRY Partners, he worked at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company. T.J. graduated with High Honors in Civil Engineering from Florida A&M University. He earned his MBA from Harvard University. T.J. also sits on the Board of Overseers for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Angela Smith

Angela Smith
Angela Smith a current parent and SAHM with 17+ years of experience in human resources leadership at some of the world’s leading brands. She has expertise in designing and executing strategies and enterprise programs in the areas of organizational development, talent acquisition, leadership development, and diversity, equity & inclusion. Angela received a BS from University of Florida and a Master’s in International Business from the University of South Carolina and also studied internationally at Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico and Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca in Spain. Angela serves on the Board of Directors of Dress for Success Boston and is active in community organizations including Jack & Jill and Grace Chapel Church.

Lindsey Valente is a current CHS parent (Classes of '22 and '25). Previously, she worked as the Director of Admission at The Catherine Cook School in Chicago. She left the school when her family was relocated to London, where she became the Director of Communication for The American Women's Club of London and volunteered at a primary school, Eaton House The Vale. Lindsey has also worked in admissions at St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's in New York City, and in marketing for Lazard Asset Management and Putnam Investments. She holds a BA in finance from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College and an MS from Teacher's College at Columbia University for Psychology in School Counseling. Most recently, Lindsey finished her role as President of the Board at Bowen Cooperative Nursery School.

Rick Wetmore is a current CHS parent (Classes of ’25 and ’26). He is a Partner at Fiduciary Wealth Partners, where he serves as a principal financial advisor to family offices and individuals, and is actively engaged in the firm’s investment process.
Previously, Rick has held investment management leadership roles throughout his career, having most recently served as a Senior Advisor, with a focus on ESG and alternative investments as a member of a multi-billion dollar institutional and high-net-worth firm’s research committee.
Rick was also Deputy Chief Investment Officer of BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNP), a global investment management firm with more than $500 billion in assets under management. While at BNP, Rick managed institutional investment portfolios and served as an advisor to a prominent supranational organization, focusing on ESG and sustainable investing within the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment framework.
Rick holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Boston. He received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Finance and Management.
Outside of work, Rick is active in the community and currently serves as a Trustee and a member of the Executive Committee of The Chestnut Hill School. In addition, he is a member of the Chestnut Hill Historic District Commission.
Rick resides with his family in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

Marcus Young

Marcus Young
Marcus Young is a current CHS parent. Marcus received his bachelor’s degree in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University. Marcus serves as the Director of Technology, as well as a member of the school’s senior leadership team at the Winsor School. Prior to joining Winsor, Marcus spent 14 years at the Brookwood School, a Prek-8 independent school in Manchester, MA. While his primary role was technology support and network administration, Marcus also served as an eighth-grade advisor, a sixth-grade advisor, 3 years as a math teacher, and a sports coach. In addition to his work in schools, he has years of experience as a collegiate men’s lacrosse coach, most recently as the Offensive Coordinator at Emmanuel College. Prior to that, Marcus ran his own non-profit lacrosse club with the mission of bringing the game to underserved communities.
