Affording CHS
At The Chestnut Hill school, we believe that the future depends on early childhood and elementary education, and that the cost of a CHS education should be financially attainable.
As parents and educators, we know that building a strong foundation for children is essential to success later in life. Whether we are looking at early literacy and numeracy skills that yield stronger outcomes in reading and math; social-emotional skills that help students to build a toolbox for coping with stress or interpersonal relationships; or problem-solving skills that help students to take academic risks and achieve at their highest level, a Chestnut Hill School education provides students with a strong foundation on which to build.
We embed meaning and joy into learning – and it’s why we’re known for graduating skilled, empathetic, self-empowered young people. CHS children grow with us today, and transform the world tomorrow. An investment in a CHS education yields benefits for years to come.

Financial Aid
In order to support The Chestnut Hill School’s commitment to socioeconomic diversity, The Chestnut Hill School provides financial aid to eligible families.
Financial need is evaluated on the basis of a standardized confidential application through a third party (Clarity Tuition) together with tax return information. Families are required to apply each year to assess continued aid eligibility. The Chestnut Hill School believes that parental investment is an essential element of a child’s education and thus expects families to contribute to its cost according to their means. Financial aid awards are always less than 100% of total tuition. Financial aid awards are applied to our extended day program, transportation, and many extra-curricular offerings. We want every CHS student to be able to fully access our program.

Tuition Refund Plan
All enrolled students are automatically enrolled in a third-party (A.W.G. Dewar, Inc.) Tuition Refund Plan (“TRP”) and will be billed accordingly. The School will process and collect any claim payment to which families are entitled under the TRP and credit it to their account, paying any excess to the family. Under certain conditions, families may elect not to participate in the TRP by signing and returning to the School’s Business Office a waiver form before Sept. 1st.
