Micro STEAM Camp - Entering Kindergarten through grade 2

June 18 - 22, 2018 (one week)  9:00am - 3:00pm

Our goal is to present STEAM activities in a structured, but playful way that builds a child's curiosity for exploring, discovering, learning, and creating! STEAM activities challenge kids to expand their perspective and become familiar with cyclical processes. We've developed the Micro-STEAM camp with the goal of hands-on engagement in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

 

STEAM Camp - Entering grades 3 through 6

June 18 - 22, 2018 (one week) 9:00am - 3:00pm

Design, build, program, and experiment! CHS STEAM Camp was developed with the goal of hands-on engagement of children in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and math. We will use a variety of materials in our wood-shop and Lego robotics lab, as well as a field trip to the Museum of Science, to develop student’s skills for the 21st century - Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration and Communication.

 

Math Camp - Entering grades 4 through 6

June 25 - 29, 2018 (one week) 9:00am - 4:00pm

Math camp is designed for students who want to challenge themselves and advance their knowledge. Math camp activities stimulate problem-solving skills, and improve mathematical capabilities in a positive and supportive environment.  Trained instructors facilitate challenging mathematical problems, group problem solving sessions, and individualized tutoring. Campers in this program will have Math in the morning, and will then join the Creative Arts and Sports Program for the afternoon.

 

Robotics Camp - Entering grades 4 through 6

July 2 - 7, 2018* (4 days) 9:00am - 4:00pm

*Camp closed on Wednesday, July 4th

Build Robots, Friendships and Confidence! Robotics uses fun, hands-on projects to excite your child’s imagination and foster a love of science, technology and engineering. In each Robotics class, campers work collaboratively to plan and build a new robot using LEGO® bricks. Children will learn and apply practical STEM skills and creative problem solving. Campers in this program will have Math in the morning, and will then join the Creative Arts and Sports Program for the afternoon.
