Last week our new group of sixth graders arrived eager to meet their advisors and begin the school year. Students were happy to see each other and reconnect. In the true spirit of community, we are thrilled to have adults from every aspect of the school serving as advisors this year. We discussed the goals of the advisor program as a group over a pizza lunch. Then each advisor-advisee paired off to share highlights of the summer and thoughts about the upcoming academic year.

Advisors will be meeting with their advisee on  a minimum of a bi-weekly basis but more frequently when time permits. We will discuss academic and personal goals and leadership initiatives throughout the year. Of course, we will also guide, mentor, and celebrate individual accomplishments. We look forward to an enriching year and watching close bonds develop as we move ahead.
