Hand in Hand: We build the dream for a more kind, caring, and fair community

This Friday, students celebrated the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK).
Students met by division and discussed a book or literature project inspired by MLK that they have been working on in their classrooms. In addition, students and teachers shared images of their hands that they created, reflecting the ways in which they each identify. These hands have been linked together across our school lobby as a symbol of unity. The meetings concluded with a discussion of how each student can be modern day MLK showing courage, bravery, and leadership everyday to help create a kinder, caring, and better community.
