The Extended Day Program

The Extended Day Program offers developmentally appropriate activities that are geared toward students’ interests.

Classes vary from year to year but typically include art, computers, cooking, dance, drama, karate, music lessons, and sports. A supervised study hall period is available for students who wish to do homework. Classes are structured into one hour and fifteen minute intervals, with snack and recess time from 4:30 to 4:45. Friday’s schedule also includes time for lunch and outdoor play.  Those who participate in the Friday program bring their lunch as on other days. The school provides milk and a snack.  Extended Day is available to children in all grade levels.

Registration

Extended Day Registration is based on a semester-long plan. During the first week of a semester, students are able to switch activities; after that, no further changes in schedules may be made.  Special classes may occasionally require additional fees for transportation and/or additional instructors.  In cases where interest exceeds capacity for a particular class and where a waiting list is required, spaces are filled in order of registrations received.
