“Share a Book, Share the World”, an annual event celebrating diversity, is an opportunity for you to actively participate in developing your child’s understanding of the world. You choose a book about people that highlights some aspect of their lives. read together. and talk about the story. You could talk about ways in which the characters in the story are similar to or different from people in your family and circle of friends. Depending on the age of your child, you may wish to pursue the topic raised in the book, and learn more about its impact on people’s lives.
