“Share a Book, Share the World” is an opportunity for you to actively participate in developing your child’s understanding of the world. Understanding makes us more accepting. Read a book that will teach your child about how people currently in the world live and do things.
Talk about ways in which the characters in the story are similar to or different from people in your family and circle of friends. Depending on the age of your child, you may wish to pursue the topic raised in the book, and learn more about its impact on people’s lives.
