January Highlights

MLK Day

CHS Summer Camp Open House

It was great to see so many new and returning faces at the annual winter Open House for summer camp on Sunday, January 22nd. This year, along with face painting and balloon sculpting, we added an inflatable obstacle course for campers to enjoy. We will be bringing the obstacle course and a few more fun inflatables back for the Session I Carnival (June 26 - July 21). Many CHS children join us for the summer program, but new friends will be made as well! Come join the fun!

Your child will be able to learn from some very talented, nurturing and skilled counselors.  We offer Creative Arts and Sports from June 26 - August 18 and various specialty programs such as STEAM, Micro STEAM, Math Camp and Robotics.

Please visit the website, and/or set up a tour to learn more about how CHS is transformed during the summer! Individual tours are available weekdays and select weekends. For more information call 617.264.1335 or visit www.tchs.org/summer.  The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp is currently accepting registrations at this time.

CHS Kicks-off New School Bus Service

We are thrilled to report that the CHS bus service is now running!  The bus ran for the first time on January 30th, and the students, and a few parents, enjoyed the ride!

This bus provides one-way service in the mornings for families in Beacon Hill, Back Bay, South End, and parts of Brookline.  There is still space available on this bus, and we welcome families along the route to join anytime this semester.

Looking ahead, it is our intention to add additional bus routes beginning in September 2017. According to the current demographics of our families, logical routes could originate from many other neighborhoods across the region. We are excited at the prospect of providing a safe and convenient service.

Later in the springtime, we will be posting additional information and registration details on the school website. If you have any questions prior to that time, do not hesitate to contact Tara Hathaway at thathway@tchs.org or at 617-264-1349. We are delighted to partner in this initiative with Local Motion, a reputable company that also serves many independent schools in the local area.
