Application 2010-2011

Our goal in the Admission Office is to provide a personalized introduction to The Chestnut Hill School and to demystify the admission process. This process allows us to get to know your child and family over a period of time through a variety of scheduled visits. Below are the steps to apply.

Parent/Guardian Interview & Tour

This is a required part of the application process. We encourage you to schedule your visit early and for both parents/guardians to come at the same time (if applicable.) Appointments are scheduled Monday through Thursday in the morning from September to February. You will interview and tour with Wendy Borosavage, Deb Bloomberg, or Patricia Lamb. Please call Patricia Lamb (617) 566-4394 x620 to schedule a tour.

Child's Visit

This is also a required part of the application process. Children applying for Beginners, Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grade 1 will have a scheduled half hour individual session with our Educational Consultant, Elana Markovitz. Your child will participate in a series of developmental tasks. At another scheduled visit your child will join a playgroup session with other children applying for the same grade. During the playgroups you have the opportunity to visit with current parent(s) and Steve Tobolsky, Head of School. Children applying for Grades 2 - 6 visit in their current grade level for a full day during which they participate in classroom activities and a one-on-one meeting with our Educational Consultant to go through the admission testing material. We will schedule these visits once we receive an application, and will notify you of the date(s).
