Schedule of 2008/09 Tuition and Afterschool Fees

Due Dates for 2007-08 Enrollment

  • February 1, 2008: Enrollment contracts and nonrefundable 10% deposit due for returning students
  • February 15, 2008: Enrollment contracts and nonrefundable 10% deposit due for Beginners students with returning siblings
  • April 10, 2008*: Enrollment contracts and nonrefundable 10% deposit due for all new students other than sibling Beginners
  • May 2, 2008: Final deadline for withdrawal.

*Families of students accepted after April 10 will be contacted individually by the Admission office with relevant dates

Please note that, in all cases, withdrawal after February 2nd will result in the forfeiture of the student’s 10% deposit, and that the school is not able to make this cost tax-deductible.

The final deadline for withdrawal is May 4, 2008.  If no written notice of withdrawal is received by the school by May 2, the family remains responsible for the student’s full tuition for the upcoming school year.

Due Dates for 2008-09 Tuition Payments

Standard Payment Plan

  • July 11, 2008: 50% of year’s tuition less deposit paid
  • November 14, 2008: 25% of year’s tuition
  • February 13, 2009: 25% of year’s tuition

Monthly Payment Plan -- This plan is administered by Sallie Mae's TuitionPay plan

  • February 2008: Open enrollment in monthly payment plan begins
  • June 30, 2008: Final date for enrolling in monthly payment plan
  • February 1, 2009: Final payment due for all monthly payment plans -- all remaining balances with TuitionPay must be paid in full

Advance Payment -- only plan for which credit card payment is accepted; MasterCard or Visa must be presented in person

  • June 1, 2008 : 100% of year’s tuition less deposit paid

Tuition Insurance
The Chestnut Hill School encourages families to purchase tuition insurance. The cost for this insurance is 0.96% of the student’s full tuition and is included on each student’s June billing statement. Families wishing to decline the insurance may do so by submitting a signed waiver of coverage to the school’s business office by September 14, 2008.
